PREPARE FOR A NEW BLOG>>>

So I have decided to transform this blog into my salon blog. It will show what is new in the world of my industry and I will post what is new in the world of my work as well. There are so many exciting things going on right now, I am so excited for 2010 and what is in store for me in my career.

So a couple of months ago Caylen and I did an amazing photo shoot with James Jaggard. It was an all day event starting at 8am and ending around 6:30pm. We got so many great shots from James that are going to be posted on the website and hanging in salon. Thank you to all of the models who helped with this really great day, if it wasn't for you we wouldn't have such amazing pictures. I am so excited already for the next photo shoot. Here are some of my favorites from that day!!

Another really amazing thing going on in my career is to have the opportunity to work along side LOreal Professionnel as one of their educators. I am so grateful to be given this opportunity it will advance my career leaps and bounds because of the education LOreal provides for their educators.

Hair Cut

It is always amazing to me how when you cut a good length off your hair how liberating it is. Sad to say this is the most liberating thing I will probably do this year. I love getting a good hair cut, it is almost like I am able to shed anything that is causing stress in my life and become carefree once again. I tend to forget just how great it feels to have my haircut, I need to really take more care when I have clients sitting in my chair. It is so relaxing.

I am also working on finding a great location to publish my graduation cards. It is so hard to decide on what style of invitation I want to have. I think I am going to use one of these two pictures on my invitation. Graduation is harder than going to school, just kidding. I am so stoked to finally be done, only one more term left and I will be done with my Bachelors of Fine Art and Minor in Art History. I keep thinking about all the people in the world who want to go to college but never get the chance, and it makes me appreciate all of the help and assistance I have gotten during this season in my life. I hope that I have made everyone proud.

Preparing for Change

As I sit here working on one of my final papers for this term my mind has begun to wonder. I start to think about all of the amazing changes that are going to happening in my life this year. First I am able to give my whole heart to my sweet little niece Kaytlyn, we were granted full legal guardianship just last week. I know that God had his hand on this, there hae been so many people praying for this precious girl, knowing that a miracle would have to happen in order for her to stay with us, and it did. Second, I will be graduating from college this June with my bachelors in Fine Art and a minor in Art History. I know I know, it is about time right. I can hardly wait to work fulltime and really have a mellow life. I feel like I have been crazy person with no direction for way too long. This is a goal I have been working on for 9 years, it will be so good to finally complete this goal. Which reminds me I better get back to my paper before I forget all about it.
